Een sterke, slijtvaste en maatvaste kunststof
 

POM-C staf blauw 70mm (Polyoxymethyleen copolymeer) is een kunststof dat geen vocht opneemt. Het is ook goed bestand tegen chemicaliën en druk. Het materiaal is fijn te bewerken en heeft een goede maatvastheid. Dit maakt het geschikt voor toepassingen waar nauwkeurigheid belangrijk is. POM is een sterke en vormvaste kunststof met een lage wrijvingscoëfficiënt. De statische en dynamische wrijvingscoëfficiënten zijn gelijk en het heeft zeer goede veerkrachtige eigenschappen. Dit betekent dat het schokken en trillingen goed kan opvangen, als de maat en toleranties belangrijk zijn, dan POM C een hele goede keuze. Ook is dit kunststof erg geliefd bij CNC-bedrijven, omdat deze bij het bewerken korte spanen geeft.

Door deze eigenschappen is het materiaal geschikt voor een breed scala aan toepassingen, waaronder:

Eigenschappen
 
  • Sterkte: POM-C is een sterke kunststof met een hoge treksterkte van 67 MPa. Dit betekent dat het goed bestand is tegen trekbelastingen.
  • Slijtvastheid: POM C is een slijtvaste kunststof met een lage wrijvingscoëfficiënt. Dit betekent dat het uitstekend bestand is tegen wrijving en slijtage.
  • Maatvastheid: POM C is een maatvaste kunststof met een lage vochtopname van 0,2 % (RV 50%). Dus dit materiaal krimpt bijna niet of zet niet uit bij temperatuurveranderingen.
  • Chemische bestendigheid: POM C is een chemische bestendige kunststof die bestand is tegen zuren, basen en oplosmiddelen.
  • Drukvastheid: POM C is een drukvaste kunststof.
  • Toepasbaar temperatuur: van -40 tot 100 °c
  • Bestand tegen organische oplosmiddelen
